Experience & Academic Highlights

Professional Journey

BWEng Engineering Outreach Programme Winner

2025
Competition

Participated in the BWEng Engineering Outreach Programme 2025 focused on Engineering Solutions for Sustainable Agricultural Practice. Worked in a team to tackle real world challenges in waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable production within grain milling facilities. Together, we designed an innovative sustainability focused solution combining smart agricultural technology, circular packaging systems, and renewable energy generation from agricultural waste. Winning the programme strengthened my teamwork, problem solving, presentation, and engineering thinking skills while showing how university opportunities can help students apply classroom learning to meaningful real world challenges.

MeasureCamp Dubai Volunteer

2025
Certification

Supported event activities at MeasureCamp Dubai and gained exposure to technology, analytics, and industry professionals. Through volunteering and networking opportunities, I learned how stepping outside academics can help students build confidence, expand connections, and discover interests beyond their degree.

4x4 in Schools Challenge Participant

2024
Competition

Represented Heriot-Watt University Dubai in the UAE National Finals of the 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge. I worked on planning, budgeting, resource management, and team coordination while collaborating in a fast paced environment. The experience taught me how university projects go beyond academics and helped me develop teamwork, communication, problem solving, and leadership skills while balancing deadlines and responsibilities.

Deputy Principal's Award Recipient

2024
Certification

Received the Deputy Principal’s Award in recognition of academic performance and commitment throughout the academic year. Managing university coursework alongside projects, competitions, volunteering, and extracurricular activities taught me how to stay organised and make the most of opportunities available during university life.

COP28 Climate Hub Volunteer

2023
Internship

Contributed as a volunteer during COP28 through Climate Hub initiatives, gaining exposure to sustainability focused discussions and large scale event operations. This experience allowed me to interact with people from different backgrounds and understand how university involvement can open doors to learning experiences beyond the classroom.
